It’s here. We’ve been waiting a long time for Drake’s sophomore album, and it’s finally here. After seeing Drake being self-critical about Thank Me Later, which went platinum, we were promised a follow-up album that involved him taking more time with this one. He even recorded the whole thing in Toronto to get back the So Far Gone feeling. He literally made sure he took care of things and wanted to make it as perfect as possible.
Yes, the album did leak 8 days early, but maybe it’s not as bad as we think. The true fans, like myself, will buy the album regardless because he’s someone who we’ve been rooting for from the start. However, the people who weren’t sure and maybe were indifferent to Drake may now buy it, because I have yet to see a bad review about Take Care. Although we’ve already heard the album, the feeling of buying the physical, hard copy, and knowing you’re supporting your favourite artist, that’s what it’s all about.
Whether you buy the standard version (17 tracks) or the deluxe (19 tracks), make sure you do support him. He’s been working really hard and it’s showing in his music. He’s showing a level of vulnerability and honesty in his music that wasn’t seen on Thank Me Later. His sound has gotten better, with his team of extremely talented producers, like 40, who engineered the majority of this project.
It got delayed once, but as true fans, we waited, despite our urge to get our hands on it. Now, the date has come.
November 15 is here.
